Scottish Universities Surfing Championships 2024

The Scottish Universities Surfing Championships 2024 took place on Aberdeen Beach on the 6th of April 2024 in windy but mostly dry weather and fun surf at Fittie.

Thanks to Jacob Timney for event photos, Scot Surf for hosting the event at the trailer, event sponsors RYD, SRFACE and The Surfskate Academy as well as big thanks to Aberdeen Surf Club for having us at Aberdeen beach, Aberdeen Surf Lifesaving Club for water safety and Aberdeen University Surf Club for hosting.

Congratulations to overall University Surf Club Team winners for the second year running – University of St Andrews Surf Club (USASC) who will keep hold of the champion’s quaich.

Both Open Womens and Open Mens divisions were hotly contested with category favourites Sam O’Keeffe (AUSC) and 2022 Mens champ Malcolm Todd (GUSC) both being eliminated in an Open Mens semi final heat that resembled more of a final. Clover Christopherson (DUSC) won all of her heats en route to retaining her Uni champs title in the women’s division.

Celebrations were had at the Tunnels post comp with an event hosted by Midnight Bass.
