Scotland are to send a team to compete in the World Junior Surfing Championships (WJSC) in Brazil this autumn.
The Scottish Surfing Federation junior team to take part in the ISA event in Rio de Janeiro from November 24-December 3 2023 will be:
U18 Boys Category:
Craig McLachlan – (18) from North Shore Surf Club
Finn Clark – (17) from Edinburgh and Borders Surf Club
Charlie Pugh – (15) from Belhaven Surf Club
U18 & U16 Girls Category:
Olivia Mackay – (16) from North Shore Surf Club
Lola Mitchell – (14) from Broch Surf Club
Callie Cruickshank – (13) from Broch Surf Club
U16 Boys Category:
Ansel Parkin – (14) from Belhaven Surf Club
Fraser Brown – (15) from Lossie Surf Club
Sebastian Ballantyne – (12) from Broch Surf Club
The selection committee has chosen the athletes from the top two places in the under 18 and under 16 divisions at the SSF Junior National Championships and the remaining spots have been allocated as wildcards based on surfing performances over the past year.
