Meet the SSF Committee

SSF Directors

 

William Watson is president of the SSF and has been involved with the SSF since its reformation in 2004.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mark Boyd is Scotland’s most capped international and is also the secretary of the SSF and has been heavily involved with the Federation since 2004. Mark is 2016 & 2017 runner up in the Mens Open division of the Scottish Nationals and also 4x Scottish Longboard Champion.

Lisa Monteith is the SSF’s administrative assistant and also head of judging and officiating at most SSF events.  Lisa now sits on the committee of the European Surfing Federation and works full time for a surf school in their office as well as a surf & SUP instructor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

George Watt is the Federation’s website and social media manager and also the 2017 Scottish Mens Open Champion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Malcolm Anderson competed for Scotland as a cadet and now has the role of photographer, videographer and media for the SSF.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brian Young is the Scottish Surfing Federation Child Protection and Welfare officer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SSF Head Coaches

 

Craig Sutherland – head national teams coach in the North-East of Scotland area and also the 2017 Scottish Inter-Clubs Masters Champion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chris Clarke – head national teams coach in the North of Scotland area.  Chris is also the 2014 Scottish Nationals Men’s Open runner up and 2015 Scottish Longboard Champion.  Chris has represented Scotland at both the ISA World Games and EuroSurf.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Martin Larg – head national teams coach for the West Coast of Scotland area.  Marti has been the coach of the national junior team at the 2017 ISA World Games in Japan as well as manager of the national junior team at both the 2016 ISA World Games in the Azores and 2016 EuroJuniors in Morocco.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sam Christopherson – head national teams coach for the South-East area.  Sam is 2x Scottish Longboard Champion and has represented Scotland several times at international level.  Sam has also been the national junior team coach at EuroJunior in Morocco in 2016.
