The privileges of SSF Active membership shall include:-
- The ability to compete in all the SSF contests whether run by the SSF or in association with other organizations.
- Inclusion in SSF sponsorship, discounts and other social events.
- Eligibility to participate in SSF organized courses such as judging and instructing.
- The ability to attend SSF meetings, speak, present motions and vote on motions at such meetings of the SSF.
- Playing an active role towards protecting Scotland’s surf breaks.
- Playing an active role in the future of Surfing in Scotland.
- Becoming part of the movement to improve the infrastructure for the next generation of Scottish Surfers.
- Eligibility for support and funding sourced to help develop diversified areas of the sport of Surfing within Scotland.
- Eligibility as an athlete to compete in Scotland’s national squad.
- Eligibility to become an elected official of the SSF.
- Junior Members shall be entitled to participate in all activities of the SSF except social events which take place at licensed premises and/or which involve the consumption of alcohol.
- For the avoidance of doubt, Junior Members may participate in activities of the SSF which take place on non-licensed premises which involve the consumption of alcohol by Members, but on no account is any Junior Member to consume alcohol during a SSF activity.
